About us
Andrea brings significant experience in business development and strategy from her years as the head of StepOne Ventures’ US Office, which helps European technology companies expand their operations to the US, and as Director of Business Development at a green retail start-up. She has experience in grant-funding from her time as Manager of Environmental and Energy programs at Vulcan Inc.
Bora has an extensive background in finance, having worked for six years as an equity research analyst at investment banks Goldman Sachs and Lazard Freres. Additionally, she has experience in investment banking as well as business development at a technology start-up. Since 2006 she has been working with a company that provides financial and valuation training to investment banks and top MBA programs.
We started BrainGig after experiencing first-hand the frustrations of trying to easily find, and apply for, grants and fellowships. We wanted to make the funding search easier for individuals, whether they are artists looking for art residencies, or science researchers at university labs.
